Back up camera that fits in the factory tail gate

Did some welding on the rear bumper / frame too close to my back up camera wires. Can't find a burned out wire... but think some voltage got to the camera and burned it out.

Anyone know of any aftermarket cameras that fit in the factory tailgate? Don't want to spend the money on a factory toyota camera.

I can't help with finding a replacement, but I do know that the OEM camera (at least in the 2009) ran on 5vdc, not 12vdc. So if you use a different camera you may need to change where it gets power from. In the 2009, the camera got 5vdc from the rear view mirror circuit.

 

eBay has OEM cameras starting at $65 so fix your short and just bolt it in.
Locking POP 5500 handles use the factory camera and mount if you need a lock.
