vF Tuner for the 3.5L Tacoma

I’d like to poke around the vf software as well. Do you have a link for download? Did I miss that or is this for a Lexus platform?

We can attach all tune files we have developed (depending on ECU ID) for vF Tuner customers to access/test/edit/flash with.

I purchased OVTune as part of the Tax time sale to find out 2 weeks later the world was changing and OVTune was done. You say this had been planned, however to a casual user I had seen no mention of this 'plan'. I originally purchased with the idea that future OVTtunes would be developed and 2.0 would be completed etc. Business changes, I get it.

I then purchased the $79 upgrade for OVTune to vF. Order #6329. When I made that purchase, the info we had been given was that it would come with all current OVTune files for our use/editing.

Now when I look on the VF/OVTune website I see a $390 tune pack for Tacomas.
To have access to the original tunes, do I need to also purchase this pack? Or since I purchased the upgrade to VF they are included?


As someone who is not on TW every day, PLEASE keep the original post in this thread updated with freq asked questions and answers. I'm not going to read through tons of posts in hope my question has been asked before. The previous OVTune threads have been nothing short of dumpster fires when attempting to find actual information abour your product.

Frankly the switch to VF has not been well communicated. As a previous User, I received no indication that it was even happening. I only got to purchase the cheap upgrade because I happened to see the thread on the right day.

 

The tune pack is for new customers wishing to get complete premade tunes. Since you are an existing flash kit customer, you get this at no additional cost.

I also sent a zendesk request asking what to do with my dongle since I purchased the $79.00 vfTuner.

 

A few more days and we should be ready to go!

No need to purchase the $390 tune pack for Tacomas that you saw. Since you have purchased vF Tuner ($79), you will be receiving the tune files due to you, and also the ability (via the vF tuner) to edit the stock and tune files to your liking.

Your concerns are important to us and we apologize for the inconveniences of miscommunication may have caused you. We will do better and are trying to do better.

Mat will be the one to reply about that tho. I'm guessing the dongle (purple/black) you have will have to be sent in to us, and Mat can credit you for the $79. In any case, please await Mat's reply on your ticket.

 

I just sent an email to Zendesk on my ticket about this.
Just found the paper with all of my information on it that was supposed to be put into the envelope I sent USPS with my dongle back to OvTune.
So I imagine nobody has any idea where that dongle came from. Let me know what I need to do. If I need to drop the $79 dollars on VF I'm OK with that. I've been getting free updates on this software for two or three years now.

In the future, all you have to do is use the arrows at the bottom of any OVtune post, and you can read just his posts. Then you don't have to read all the other posts from everyone else, but can still get all the info.

 

The amount of control you guys will have............ A LOT
