You're welcome to borrow my Dewalt XR, that is what I used when I sheared my OEM TRD wheel lug removal tool. 1200ft/lb breakaway. It is a bit bulky though. But adding tools to the collection is never a bad choice.

I threw the same 2.8 on it for now. A friend of mine went to school for hp tuners and i bought a 2.5 pulley for him to tune it on- just trying to make the tuning day go as easy as possible. The only thing i have to do is hook up my afr, swap the cam gears and bolt on the smaller pulley and it should be good.

Darn. I was just taking an educated guess. Hahaha.

See what I mean about the sizing. It's really difficult to tell.

    Hey All,

Most Bussman mounting plates and panels that I've seen for the 2nd Gen Tacoma are mounted near the driver side back fender/firewall area. The same area where the TRD intercooler coolant swirl pot sits (along with my oil catch can).

Owners with the trd blower that use Bussman panels/plates for organized wiring.....what panel/plate are you using? Any pics?

I want to clean up the spaghetti wiring mess that I've made throughout the years. Thanks for any advice!

I have seen I think one setup with a custom tray setup that mounted with their swirl pot. I can't remember the name. Alternately I have seen people mount them directly ontop of the fuse box. I also want to purchase one of these to clean up the rat nest of wires I have created..

A tray/panel that encompasses the swirl pot is a good idea! But I have a feeling that my catch can is taking up valuable real estate in that spot. Too lazy to go pop the hood right now to confirm etc

I also think it would be ideal to mount it on top of the fuse box cover but not sure how to execute that.
#1 i would want the fuse box cover to be somewhat easily accessible/removable
#2 i always thought the backside of a Bussman fuse/relay block had wires neatly "looped/jumped/chained" for the circuits along with loose leads to the item/switch, etc....

I'm having a hard time picturing how an assembly like that can stack on the fuse box lid and retain ease of access to the fuses....

Then again, the last time I dabbled with this stuff was back when it was cool to have 12v distribution blocks by Phoenix Gold where everything was gold-plated with a plexiglass cover! BLING BLING!

(I don't know what the cool kids use these days...)

So I have some unexpected updated news regarding the hybrid TRD intake setup I am using.

All of this can change based on the opinion and findings of @JustDSM but as it turns out, as for this moment per my datalogging tonight and checking out the MAF side readings of logging via HP Tuners, the TRD intake when mated to a high flow drop in panel filter (AEM is still my recommended one if using this intake) OUTFLOWS (not by a whole lot) my previously modified 3.5" MAF tubed URD ram air intake, all the while maintaining a lower voltage at the actual MAF itself. Actually the maximum voltage at full WOT airflow is down by .39V at WOT when using the FJ/ T4R MAF in comparison to the OE version MAF and 3.5" MAF tube. Why the change, I am not sure.. but it appears this intake is worth its weight and holds down its own when being put up to the test to a high flow aftermarket style intake out there. Bear in mind I am basing my information on the PID columns to the left indicating lbs/ min. not so much the graph g/s information to the right. Check out the comparison below:

This is a screenshot of my previous URD intake using a 3.5" MAF adapter (3.25" internal tubing):

    URD intake 3.5 MAF.jpg

This is a latest screenshot of tonight's log using the hybrid TRD intake setup:

Already running a different belt and 2.8 before? You swap your Fuel Pump already? You a mt or at? I am hoping to have my snout finished up here soon. I have a 2.8 and 2.5 debating on doing 2.5 now before the VB and FP.

Anyone have a doc or sheet to figure out a connector for the Tacoma? Trying to track down a connector. I think I found one but some site wanted crazy money. Figure ill just order direct from Toyota if I can.

Or if anyone ripped out their Secondary Air system and still has it laying around let me know. Looking for the plug thats on the pump.

For dudes attempting to get impact guns on the alt pulley, I found this gem at vato zone. It's a universal joint, but isnt notchy like the typical square joints due to its ball and socket design.

Stock belt worked fine with the 2.8. I was already running the stealth 2.85. I have swapped the fuel pump, installed headers and custom exhaust, deleted a few things etc. After the cam gears she should be good to tune.

Its a manual trans with excedy 2+ and cm tob

Forgive my ignorance, but does this version of the trd intake still have a charcoal filter built into the lid?

I used a blank paranoid fab plate and cut it out to fit my oil cooler, but this is with the URD kit. But, the oil cooler is mounting in a similar place as the trd coolant resi if you have the vacuum brake booster

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
This is kind of apples and oranges here. First, @SUMOTNK , the bussman relay/fuse RTMR is fed from underneath and is designed to house relays along with fuses. The picture that Rob put up is a Blue Sea Fuse Block that only provides power distribution and no relays. I am too embarrassed to show a picture of how mine is currently arrayed, but I intend to move it over to the where the SAI pump used to be on the passenger side. I will run the relay triggers through the firewall behind the glovebox. I can't fit anymore crap on the driver side. I even have some concerns with the @mightytacoman , Tacoman Reservoir interfering with Redline Hood Hinges from the stock mounting bracket. It is tight over there.

I agree 100%, definitely apples and oranges comparison, but i figured id throw it out there for an idea. I was not able to find anything relating to this when i was trying to figure out how to cram it in there.. space is definitely tight on the driver's side!
