I see that many have put a bed matt in the bed of the truck. I believe you all when you say its a good thing to have but I dont understand what it does that is so good. Can someone explain to me what is so good about having the matt ? Thank you for any help/comments,,,and Happy Holiday.

 

Keeps everything from sliding around. Without a mat, anything in the back, like a cooler, slides all over the place as you drive. With a mat, everything stays put. I used a $40 horse stall mat. 3/4" thick and weights about a hundred lbs. I like the weight in the winter.

 

This is what I got. Takes 2 people to take out and put in. But I only remove it once a year when I clean under it in the summer.

 

I’m sure these have all been said but bed mat, MESO change bin and Salex organizers have been probably my most useful cheap mods. And the Clazzios but those were over $200.

 

unless you’re moving a lot of loose dirt and gravel I don’t see why you wouldn’t.

Yep. Winter on the OR coast is my favorite time of year. No crowds, more interesting skies, storm surf and a real treat when you get a milky sky on the beach like we did Monday night.

 

Keeps shit from sliding around, makes the bed more flat, raises stuff up a bit so if there’s some water in the bed it’ll be below, provides padding for your knees if you have to crawl or kneel in the bed, layer of protection for the bad if that matters.

I’m enjoying my ECT relocation on my shifting knob. Pretty inexpensive.

I also have a bottle opener on my bed rack from Front Runner. Best thing ever. Now drunk me while camping won’t try to open bottles on my truck or camping gear or rack itself and scratch all the powder coat because I just want beer and can’t find a damn bottle opener so a bolt on never remove one is my only solution.

I want to say that glove box organizer that breaks it up into 5 areas is really nice. I can throw a lot more accessible crap in there...

Bed mat for sure! The bed itself is quite slippery, so the mat was a huge upgrade.
