    While using my iPhone on Bluetooth mode, and after I start the engine, the volume cuts out to less than half. After about a minute or so it returns to normal. I’ve tried turning off the ‘Sound Check’ on my phone and other measures, but to no avail. Has anyone else had this problem, and how was it solved?
    Thanks

    Disconnect the phone from blue tooth, “forget this device”

    turn off engine. Restart engine.

    reconnect phone.

    you’re welcome.

    Are you saying the key from on position to starting the truck, the sound cuts out? If so it's standard they all do that. For some reason the radio loses power when the truck starts, and the radio restarts.

    After I start the truck the sound is fine, then it cuts out the volume. After a few minutes it returns to normal.

    On your headunit under the sound settings check to see if the "automatic sound levelizer" is turned on.

    I was having the same issue. I have an iPhone Xr and ended up deleting removing Entune 3.0 app and Toyota+Alexa app. Afterward, I only reinstalled Entune 3.0 and it worked as advertised. I think the Toyota+Alexa app was causing a startup conflict, at least in my case.

    I have tried turning off the sound equalizer and turning it on. Made no difference. I just deleted the Entune app and will try that.
    Thanks

    @del92126

    If you put an @ sign and then start to type someone’s username, it should pop up and you can select it, and they will get a notification that they were tagged

    I didn’t see any associated TSBs for this issue, but at least in my case the problem with the problem with the lowered volume was due to the Toyota+Alexa iOS app. To be sure, I reinstalled the Entune 3.0 and Alexa apps, and the problem came back. Once I removed just the Alexa app the problem went away. I also had the same problem happen when I gave the Amazon Music app permission to access the microphone to enable handsfree Operation to listen for “Alexa.”

    It appears to be conflict with how the Amazon iOS apps interface with the radio’s handsfree function by automatically lowering volume to better hear your voice. If the app is always on and listening to everything you say in order to respond to an “Alexa...” command, then it’s always keeping your speaker volume lowered. I am sure it is a bug, but you think they would have done a better job wringing That kind of stuff out. I reported the issue on Toyota’s customer support website.
