Me? Nothing. The previous, a lot.
So as the title says, I finished installing my SC and running into issues. I test ran it last night and everything was fine and dandy; opened throttle and was responsive and no engine pining.

Today, I went for another test and for some reason I’m having a lot of issues getting higher than 3K RPM and issues being responsive. I’d give it some gas and it would just hang out and rev and lot change to a higher gear. I’m also feeling some vibrations in the gas pedal, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Seems like I’m either not getting enough gas or air but the blowers are turning.

Did you flash the ecu to get a proper tune?

What kind of super charger (trd/Magnusson most common)?

    Automatic trans?

It’s a magnusson SC and I did get the ECU flashed. I have yet to get the codes checked but about to do that now. And it is an auto trans with oem fuel pump.

Could an evap or fuel line code be a possible issue? I know i had that code flash before and thought i fixed it. Maybe fuel filter clogged?

Start simple, check all the connectors.

If all connectors are hooked up clear the codes by disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it. Then re-retrieve codes and see which one remains.

The air injection one is the one which worries me.

Start simple using the advice stated above then go from there.

So I checked all the vacuum hoses when installing the SC and they’re all in. I did check the secondary air injectors and noticed this: there is a kink in the hose. I know the hose was like this before the SC and never had issues, never touched them either during the install. Could it be with the increased in air it did something to the injectors??

Consider getting an OBD bluetooth reader or scan gauge. Having a reader on hand really helps. Torque Pro and a Bluetooth Dongle has been paramount in my troubleshooting.

    That could pose an issue.

Rummaged through the forums and it seems like the 2012 TRD has had tons of issues with this secondary injection. I’ll definitely take the terminal off and reset. I’ll play around with that hose and see if it does anything.

would the SC have any issues if I just installed a bypass??

Seemed to work for now. Cleared the codes and no CEL coming on. Seems like when the air injectors flashed, the truck’s limp mode was causing the issue. Either way, I may replace the injectors if the issues arise again or just bypass if it doesn’t mess with the ECM.

Thank you guys so much for helping me trouble shoot this. You don’t now how relieved I am that it isn’t something crazy serious like misfires or fuel line. (really don’t want to take apart the surge tank again)

Glad to hear it worked out for you for now. Consider buying HP Tuners to get the SAI deleted if emissions is not an issue in your state as that limp mode crap is no joke and if it fails the wrong way it can even pose a fire hazard.

Also, it is no longer called a surge tank (I don't know why Toyota in all their infinite wisdom chose to call it that crap, it's an intake manifold when the truck is in NA form), it is just called the supercharger now. :)

Here is a bonus.. There is an exclusive thread for us and you now that you are supercharged. All the boosted guys hang out there and help is just one post away.

Definitely upgrade your fuel pump too. Best safer than stranded or worse.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
That kinked line is tucked away and electrical only. It is part of the install. HPTuners would go a LONG way to help you with all this as well.
