I did the same a few years ago.
After 3 stock radios I had enough.




On edit:

Still need to put the steering wheel control in.
Didn’t want to spend money on it until I was happy with it.
I don’t really miss them but I don’t like things not working.

 

Long way from you but here is a 2007 with 120,000 kilometers for $20,000 Canadian...and not much rusting going on here in Victoria.

For you 4.0 folk...

This is listed in the 2nd gen DIY thread. But here's the part # for the PCV valve. Available at your local dealer for about $5. I recommend it if you're north of 100k. If you pull the old one and it rattles it's probably ok...but that's not a guarantee that's it's functioning at 100%.

My radio isn’t in there anymore I don’t think so I’ll email them.
I had an issue with my faceplate and they were awesome when I bought the system.

 

Oh that’s about it.

I don’t buy tools anymore because I have everything for my skill set.
Unless I lose them (grrrrrrrrr).

If I do need something it definitely isn’t snap on.
When I first started over 40 years ago I did. Now, I just buy something to get me by.
I can’t justify twice the price for 1 or 2 years where I might use it a dozen times.

Im one track minded and picky as hell and my husband is about ready to kill me. I’ve been looking at black, cement, and voodoo blue trucks as an alternative at this point because after 6 months of not finding one that isnt shit i’m starting to give up..(pictured one is only 2 years old and frame is already rusted to hell with bent tow hooks) If they still offered the inferno I'd just buy new.

 

Cherish those moments. My girl is 28 now, 1000 miles away. With the virus about, haven't traveled and man, do I miss those days.
