I am new to the taco world, and I am learning as I go.

Picked up a 2wd 4 door on Saturday. Less than 1000 miles.

Has dealer installed 17" wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler 265/65R17

I have a lot of vibration at highway speeds. Its not super bad, but definitely more than my 97 ranger which is all I have to compare it to. The passenger seat is visibly vibrating at 80.

Is this normal, or should I be taking the truck to my tire guy to have the tires re-balanced?

Also, the transmission hunts a lot with radar cruise control on at 80 mph. The truck feels the need to floor the throttle whenever someone moves out of the radar range to get back up to max speed. Is this normal? I don't need it to get back to 80 IMMEDIATELY when I'm on a road trip. It can take its time with the acceleration, I don't really like the 6 speed kicking down 2 gears to get back that 5mph as fast as it can.

I guess this is my first slushbox ever so I'm not sure if this is normal.

Saw some threads about it adjusting to my driving habits, but I'm never in a hurry when I'm in the truck.

I have my own complaints about the 2020. But vibration isn't one of them.

Cruise control is the same as yours and did the same in my 2019 as well.

I want to say there is a setting I've read about that you can change the acceleration behavior for resuming speed more gradually. Something to look into...

I'd also have the tires re-ballanced and go from there.

Sounds like you have a tire balance issue. It should be totally smooth.

These trucks do not like cruise at 80mph, especially with beefier tires. At the speed, a lot of shifting is going to happen.
    Your three options are:
    1. Slow down a bit.
    2. If you need to use cruise, use S mode in 6th and the standard cruise, not the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. It will hunt less.
    3. Let it do its thing and don't worry about it.

There's 3 sensitivity settings for radar cruise on lower right of your steering wheel, in nice weather I almost always use the least sensitive.
The radar cruise is a convenience feature, not an efficiency feature, so it will resume back to speed quickly (burning fuel). You can hold the cruise on/off button to disable the radar.

I like the radar, but in moderate traffic on a two lane highway, where hacks are dropping in front of you (borderline cutting you off) it can be frustrating, but at that point, I'll abandon cruise altogether.

I have 265/70 17 General Atx's on trd pro wheels on my 2020 and I get the same passenger seat wiggle around 75-80. Pretty sure it's not the truck since my 2018 sport was the same way with the same wheels and tires. Stock tires on the 2020 were buttery smooth up to 80mph, and I may be switching back to stock soon.

Those are not really sensitivity settings. They are distance settings. They set the distance the truck will follow the car in front of you.
