No testing yet I assume? No rush on my end, just checking in.
So, just double checking, it will stay on if we make it, but only up to 30MPH? Is there a way to keep it on over these speeds? I want to be able to use a cargo camera by the 3rd brake light while driving if possible.

it will stay on permanently if you hold any of the arrow buttons until the beep

and Yes I did test the camera connection.
    But no, it doesn’t work...
If you connect a camera into the RCA connector labeled “R-CAM” the screen shows a mix of the camera feeds, so, I believe the wire labeled r-cam is wired parallel to the factory camera and thus not usable as a third camera, HOWEVER...

You could wire a camera to say, a magnetic base, and then run the feed to a switch which could be connected to either the stock camera feed or the front camera and operate that separate switch as desired. So instead of getting a mix your switch would allow you to select what feeds to the screen.

Thanks, just double checking because original post said over 30 it wouldn't stay on, but I probably misinterpreted that.
Nice! That does mean we do still need a separate switch. Drat! Time to figure out a solution! Might be able to get away with two 5 pin relays, making one for positive, one for negative connection of the RCA. Think that'll work?

It will automatically turn off at a certain speed that I am not sure is 30 but that’s only if you haven’t locked any of the cameras

It's 12 MPH, at least in forward drive. I can't say what speed for reverse.

MESO stealth shifter knob has an extra momentary switch. They want to use that button to tap to the front camera.

Ah ok. Now I understand. Like another option for the steering wheel "Mode" button?

Yeah. The problem I have with the move button is that I have to hunt for it at night, especially when my steering wheel is at a turn position.

I have, we used a different camera for the anytimebackupcamera.com version.

    This is the camera:
    https://www.amazon.com/Backup-Water...akita+bac&sr=8-6#immersive-view_1582870128797

I made a bracket out of a piece of 1" bar thin aluminum I got at home depot to fit in the stock camera location on the grill and plasti dipped it so it would be a little more hidden. I bent it so it was flat at both screw locations and pointed the camera at a slight down angle. Same angle needed to get flat at both screw locations. The thin aluminum bent easy and it is rigid enough at speed. I can get more pics if you need them. I purchased the screws for it at Toyota that are the same screws the OEM bracket uses. Part number for screw is 90167-A0021.

According to the manual, it turns off automatically in 30 seconds or 20 km/h (12.4 mph):

So I hooked everything up today, and I lost camera functionality all together. The radio works, but when I put the car in reverse nothing happens, nor does anything happen when switching into drive. I even tried manually engaging the camera from the steering wheel, and nothing. I put everything back to stock, and it works just fine.

    Details on my setup:
I'm using the square natika 720p camera with the black and red power unused, and the trigger from the red D/C connector soldered to the red trigger from the yellow video wire at the camera end. White wire has been cut, and ends have been separated as to not cause a short. On the other end, I used the supplied connector to connect the red trigger from the yellow video wire to the 12+ out from the CS harness. The red wire seemed super small for the connector, so I doubled it on itself, twisted it shut, shoved it in, and then crimped the connector. After a tug, it didn't give any slack, so I assume it's a solid connection. My truck is an SR, so only the two larger connectors of the CS harness were used. I don't have a connection for the small connector.

    20200428_131023.jpg

Does anyone have any insight wherein lies the issue? I'm assuming it's a controller problem due to no camera functionality, front or rear, but that's just my best guess.

Forgive my ignorance, but does your SR have "Entune Audio"?

Nevermind, @tpp4 ... researched it and the eBrouchure states your SR model has Entune Audio. I would go to the SR only thread and ask if any of them have installed this mod. Seems to me that you need to have that small connector hooked up too.
