A lot of the places the trucks go to are closed now. I need to text the dude who helped me with my car-there's a truck that goes by there that has Napolitos-see if they are still coming around.

Welp. When the quesadilla is the strongest thing and the chicken is better than the asada, hmmm.
This place's asada was unremarkable. The pollo was very good. Overall, meh. But when the real places are closed, gotta take what you can get.

i don't know what this is about but i like it.

 

Trying out a new rub for the ribs... And a new smoking technique. Since I can't smoke the things you guys do.
Brown sugar, some special season all, garlic powder and some Tajin (mix of one other thing...). 2 hours on the racks. Foil for 2 hours with some apple crown. We shall see how the final product is in 3 hours.

That's kinda old school. We did it with a large pot filled with water and 2 liter bottle (or whatever was available).



This is a slightly more sophisticated unit, but the same principle.

 

i have vivid memories of doing this, with one of those ww2 style gas masks in high school. this was in texas, in the 90's, and it was with regs. but anyway, pull up the gravity bong, put the hose on it, and drop the jug in the water and just breathe. the eyes fill up with smoke immediately, then you keep breathing and fuckin giggle and whatever, good times!
and if you didn't know what i was talking about before, i bet it's not better after that ramble! ha

 

Shit, just ran a 7'07" mile, followed by a 7'13" mile. I don't think I've ran sub 7 since middle school. Surprised myself.

definitely fancy. Last time I hit one, my cousin took a 1gal water jug, made a ghetto bowl with aluminum foil to replace the lid, and then punctured a hole in the bottom of the jug to let the water out. 3 of us hit that 1 gal bottle. i was knocked off my ass the rest of the night. I'm In!
