Another day trip to sand hollow. Weathers getting hot and it’s time to do maintenance before the rubicon/fordyce in august. 90684127-4D74-423B-BDA3-983FF14AD4A4.jpgB22F8CF9-5DAC-421E-8C29-26B3985F2AF7.jpg562AD3FB-A352-4794-B561-C414A529946A.jpg

Supposed to go with some buddies we met in moab years ago from Canada but we will see if they actually go. If not, probably be my dad and I. We’ve done the rubicon a few times now but never fordyce so should be interesting

No real truck updates. Moved it out of the garage about 2 weeks ago so had to add some air to the tires. Been busy working on the yard. Finally finished the front and back for the most part. Back still needs some planter beds for the old lady and the front needs the mail box side finished but I'm done for the summer. Think it came out decent for having no clue what I'm doing. Added a 8x16 shed and finally finished the rv parking to put the gate in the backyard.

Pile has since been moved. Will get a half wine barrel on that corner for flowers and a tree in the curve of the retaining wall.

grass still needs a retainer to keep the rock off the grass.

Speaking of air - well slightly related, what issues would I might encounter if I go to a single diaphragm brake booster from an 01-04, I remember someone saying there’s a spacer behind the single diaphragm that I’m not sure would be a part of a remanned one. I think it’s this couple of gaskets and a spacer they call a booster bracket which I think only serves to put the master cylinder with the narrower booster in the same place as the dual.

When I bought my reman from rock auto (01-04 is a 4 post master. 00 till the early 90s booster is a 2 post) it bolted right in no issues besides shortening the plunger a bunch.

So going the opposite direction I might have to make holes for the 2 extra posts and extend the plunger with some new all thread or a coupling nut etc?

No you’ll need an 01-04 master as well (4 post master vs 2 post). I think I had to trim the plunger cause I’m cheap and literally bought the cheapest booster. I definitely wouldn’t extend the plunger with just a coupler/all thread. Seems like a weak point on a serious component. To many buses full of nuns to risk that.

I think your overthinking it a little. Look at a parts schematic on your truck vs 01-04. Mainly look at the brake pedal. If the brake pedal assemblies are the same, order an 01-04 brake booster and master and bolt her up
