There are two general types: those that have steering wheel controls, and those that don't. There will be some specific to some models, but you can narrow a match this way.

Edit: I don't know that you can simply pull out a clock spring that is already installed. A new new clock spring is centered in its housing with a tab that prevents it from being unwound. When you pull out the clock spring, you'll need to insert a tab to prevent the spring from winding out of center. I hope I explained that properly.

That's a little over dramatic. Aftermarket radios are good. Denso and Yec Flamma make excellent ignition coils; have two Yecs in our Lexus. I have a BnR 200 amp alternator that has about 50K and hasn't given me a problem. Have a Autozone starter in the Lexus also - of course, if it didn't have a lifetime warranty and it wasn't so easy to replace, I may have considered OEM. Bottom line, don't discount aftermarket so readily. Besides, very few components are actually made by Toyota. Find the original supplier and you'll get the same oem quality at reduced cost 'cause Toyota marks up the prices.

$200-300 for OEM. Chinese: $20 or less. But, every other one is bad. I'm 2 for 4; cruise control and/or air bag light will come on. Still worth it to get 1 or 2, or 3 Chinese clock springs over oem.

I think the one I got from Napa was around $150 ish. If you're willing to gamble on a $20 eBay or whatever, well.... good luck.

I can't leave anything well enough alone
I have a clockspring that I thought I needed for airbag light, turned out it was another issue and I never installed it. OEM, for use with steering wheel controls, 2008 TRD sport. Let me know if you are interested, I'll go dig it out and get the part number and we can discuss a price?
