New Taco, <100miles, intermittent clunk sound that's felt on floor board

We have a new Tacoma with less than 150miles on the odometer and there's a clunk/knock that's heard and can be felt on the floor board.

It's still new and was thinking we should take it in to be looked at under warranty but fear having to remove our PowerSteps(woe on me although it could be done). I'm thinking it's best to wait for this Virus to pass/having a vaccine before I take the truck in for them to figure out but in the meantime...

at 1st we thought it was the passenger seat belt hitting the dollar pillar but it's not that, then I read here of some complaining of noises coming from the seat itself. Although I believe our problem lies with the undercarriage, as it seem to me somethings hanging loose underneath that's clunking the floorboard. I can also feel it just driving on smooth pavement. I'm thinking it has to do with the exhaust system components, idk? I'd guess there's a lot of components on the front end, BUT it's a Brand New Taco, geez, just my bad luck getting a poorly manufactured truck? Any ideas of what it could be?

Maybe I'll take more notes of when it happens, under hard acceleration, certain turns, incline/decline, etc.

Im not trying to be sarcastic but get an old towel and crawl under there with a flashlight (after its cooled down) and poke around for loose items.

They will sanitize your vehicle before and after working on it.
Do it now, while they are slow,

If your talking bed cleats, we removed them and believe not seeing anything loose under the seats installing covers and tightened tire jack accesorries under the back seats.

I'll check that and recheck the above tomorrow.

    thanks for the feedback

Take the Power Steps off and drive it.
That's the only variable that has changed from when you bought the truck.

Apparently the noise/clunk was there before the step install, probably had 50-75 miles on it at the time. We have many cars to use between us so... and the truck has been rarely used in the time we've had it.

Before I start removing the steps, I'd take it to the Dealer and go from there and if they start yapping about the power steps... . My neighbors gonna be shaking their heads seeing me "play" mechanic again. lol, took me a couple of weeks to get it right routing the wires undah the hood, SAD.

I found our back passenger seat back rest not fully engaged into the latch strike and having to slam it shut as we installed seat covers. Guess my other 1/2 didn't want to force it back into place.
So far so good after a short test ride.
