Took the truck into some decent mud over the weekend and now getting some squeal from the belt during acceleration. Any suggestions? Should I try and clean the belt?

If anyone checks this, I took some belt conditioner and a wire brush to it and cleaned the dirt. Stopped the squealing.

I've had good experience with bar soap and it doesn't irritate the belt at all. Just stick it on a screwdriver

Idler pulleys are exposed on this truck, don't be surprised if you are replacing them in the next few months because of the mud.

Hows it doing now after some time? My ‘19 OR started “chirping” like a bunch of crickets in the engine bay when accelerating after a day out on dirt roads in a lot of fine desert dust. Called dealer and they said they have been seeing it a lot after 15k or so and think it’s the belts, not what they’re made of but something they’re coated with from new
