My lowers controls arms bushings are done for. I was looking for some input on what I should do.
Should I replace the bushings and ball joints or should I replace the LCA’s with aftermarket?

    Thanks!

The bushings are not designed to be replaceable. It can be done, but is a PITA. If you search by part number new OEM LCAs can be had for around $250 from discounted Toyota parts sites. Personally I'd stay OEM on the LCA, especially the ball joints, unless you are looking at aftermarket performance upgrades like Dirt King.

That’s pretty much what the alignment shop said that they are not meant to be replaced but, it can be done and they even seen them fail. They said it’s best to replace the LCA’s.
I called my local Toyota dealer and they wanted about 400 per arm which I thought that was excessive.
I was either looking at the cheaper aftermarket ones ($200) for now or like you said upgrade to either total chaos or dirt king.

Look in the market place... a bunch are probably up for sale as others upgrade.

Aftermarket ones from reputable brands (Delphi, Moog, Mevotech) can be had for $90-$100 per arm. If you don't trust the included ball joint in them, you can get a robust greaseable ball joint from Moog or Mevotech (TTX line) for $30-$40 each and swap them in.

The Moog ball joints are what Dirt King includes in their $1700 control arms. The Mevotech TTX ones have better corrosion resistance than the Moog ones.
