FREE homemade cross bar for archive garage hammer hangers.

don’t get too excited. This was when I was first learning to fabricate stuff a year or so ago so it’s far from perfect. The welds are ugly and the holes aren’t drilled right. Rather than use 1/2” bolts I used 3/8” to compensate for my holes being a little off.

That said, it still works great. It’s powdercoated textured black. Crossbar and hardware free, and I will ship too. I am only replacing it because I’ve since improved fab skills and wanted to redo it.

shipping, I was going to wrap up the ends in cardboard and tape and slap a label on it. About $30-$40 shipping lower 48 if I had to guess.

If you use it in this manner, then quite a bit.

I should add there’s really no expiration date on this. It’ll sit in my scrap pile until it gets cut up and used for another project or someone claims it.

The bar is still up for grabs if you want it.

Also this reminds me. @Greg's Outdoors do you want this? Did you already buy one?

Didn't I need to say something about wanting a bar before ordering the hangers?

This statement confuses me. Did you already order a bar?

No. Just the hangers. I thought that, when I ordered it, there was some drop-down to say if I had plans for a cross-bar or not. As in, if I said yes, he would add something else to the hangers. I could probably just go and look, but the internet is a lot of work.

No that's to either add a cross bar, or some plates to build your own cross bar. All of the HH come with holes necessary to run a cross bar. Consider this yours?

Hmmm. I guess I don't need a spare underneath since I have a swingout (unlike some folks). Now, a plan to pick it up......

Consider it yours. Like Greg said, he'll be over within a couple weeks to get work done (hopefully next weekend) and could help TW express it. Or I can get a quote because it really will be cheap to ship.

No didn't buy one, plus I run a 285/70 5th that rotates in and I have no fancy rear swing out tire holding option not one in the immediate future plans.

I'll just brainstorm with ya once we get the hangers up!
