What materials you use to fab up that bumper? I’m curious, planning on welding up a HC bumper in a month or two

 

The mounting plates to the frame are 4"x1/4" bar stock. The main tube is 3"x4"x1/4" and the side wings are just 3/16" plate. Then I have two support tube running from the mounting plate to the wings to add rigidity. The diamond plate on top is just a sheet metal skin I added for a step.

It's the bees knees. I has the "synergenic" or whatever where you just tell it what thickness you're welding and what gas you're using and it does all the settings automatically. It's an extremely handy feature. Comfortable torch and a heavy duty ground clamp. It can do 110v and 220v and has it's on cord for each. This worked to my advantage because rather than make an extension cord, I was able to just make one long ass cord that plugs directly into the welder. Would definitely make the purchase again.

 

Bought another softopper and prepped the rear for a HC

 

Changed engine oil and filter. Mobil 1 Full Syn. Installed a Fumoto drain valve.

 

You can run it bumperless??? I’ve been wanting to prepare it for HC but I thought pigs would pick on me lmao

Those dimensions look a little different than mine. Your drawing is a LOT more professional looking than mine though lol. I took the dimensions off of a very cheap Chinese made spacer with a micrometer, a spacer that was well over 5" in outside diameter, and I had to grind the outside diameter because of it.
