i seriously considered 6112's and read halfway through the thread then quit because of the information/settings/opinions to get "x" amount of lift varied so much. at 1 point i saw people were having to set at clip 5 or 6 just to get 2.5/2.75". i might go back through/pick up where i left off later on..... but i will recommend you to go through it; being that you have a access cab, it will be different for you anyway.

I've browsed it a bit too, lots of conflicting info. Made my head hurt like reading the ebay bumper thread.

Thanks for ideas with that poll, but I just got a good deal on new 5100s.
Now to decide if I switch to Headstrong coils or get OME, again. Leaning toward the HS coils and see how they run, hoping they have a better (more comfortable) spring compression. The OME work and they're good, but they are a touch harsh on compression and rebound both on and off road, IMO.

Wouldn't this mean you need a longer, but lighter spring?

I think I'm gonna try the HS 2" coil and see how I like them. I should get right around 2 since that's rated for a DC 4x4 taco, assuming the weight difference isn't much greater due to bumper, skids, and winch.

Anyone up for a 'Rona build day in the coming weeks?
    Rear diff.
    Pull a leaf out.
Adjust parking brake and bleed/flush all 4.
Install the LCE short shifter I've had for MONTHS while the console is out to adjust brake.
Probably more I could dream up.

I've got meat I can smoke now that I got a side fire box for the Char Griller, and maybe I'll even buy ronas :)

You're pullin leaves, I'm adding leaves. What's your leaf setup again? I'm installing a Dakar el95r with a EL46XL added to them. If I don't do it this weekend/week I'd be up for a mod day.

Why you taking a leaf out anyway? Too harsh?

I've got Dakar HD and it's almost too much lift/stiff ride/not enough flex.

I also should weld my cam tabs. Currently starting a tool box project and fabbing some brackets for it since it's a bit narrow to sit on the bed rails, it was a killer deal. The tool box, when loaded might help chill the leafs though.

From what I've read, my 95R with the AAL should be the same as the HD. (I thought I read it was a little less stiff, but can't find that source). Maybe my added weight of the DC & v6 will work out well for me. The HDs do seem like they'd be overkill for your truck.

Do your leaves have the yellow greasable anti friction pads? If not, you can have mine if you want them. I replaced mine with the Dorman ones.

Not sure on the pads, think they're just black or opaque plastic looking things iirc when I installed them. Brent or Everett may or may not remember.
We did replace all the bushings, however. I just deal with the squeak and creak and lube with Fluid Film when I get tired of it.

    ...not anymore chief

Just took a quick measure. Driver ~21.25", Pass ~ 21.75". Almost a 2" loss from the bumper/winch/skids and worn front bouncy things.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
put a few zipties around the ends of one of the leafs, I forget which one, but that solved my squeak on Dakar pack.

Lol. I always heard it going slow in parking lot and speedbumps at work so your method wouldn't have been good for me there.

Well, my dakars are in. Can't say I enjoyed it. Had a siezed bolt on the front side of each pack. Luckily I was already planning on replacing those with a greaseable bolt. If you do a mod day I'll take the role of the gringo and supervise while sharing my new found tips and tricks.
