Damn those do look good. I personally like the stock wheels and this made yours looks way better.

It’s most definitely a gimmick, air contains 78% nitrogen. What I always ask the tire guys that use to push nitrogen is how they manage to get all the oxygen out of the tires before they fill them with nitrogen. It’s not possible and won’t make a difference.

Not sure. I was armed with the spacers as part of the lift so I can’t answer that. As is, its perfect.

It's hard to tell in the pics, but is the finish (and color) the same as the wheel? The wheels (if I remember correctly) have a brushed look to them rather than smooth polish.

The finish on the wheels and centercaps are virtually identical. The caps are slightly more glossy. The wheels are in fact a little more “machined”, but in the sun these wheels pop.
To me, this completely changed the look of these wheels and the truck. I was about to trash them or paint them or just buy Volks until I figured I’d take a stab at this. Now I’m thrilled I did it.
The trick to getting these centercaps to work on these wheels is in the use of the Spidertrax spacers. The spacers serve as the backing for the 3M adhesive to bind to. Without spacers you’re likely not going to be able to make this work quite like this.
You have to cut all the tabs off the new center caps, make them smooth by using a very sharp blade to make the back as flat as possible where the tabs were, clean with alcohol, then apply the 3M super strength tape so that it adheres the cap to the spacer. The tape I used is very thin and nearly permanent. When you pull the wheel, the centercap remains adhered to the spacer. It’s a pretty trick little detail.
I didn’t pay for the N2. Whether it helps or not I don’t really care. It’s not in there now. On an off road vehicle it makes zero sense as you’re constantly airing up and down depending on terrain...with normal air. The shop that did the tire install just put the old valve covers back on.

Another pic. You can see how flush the cap is to wheel. I personally love that I’m using the stock wheel, get the stance and clearance I need, and I’m using hub and lug centric equipment. The stock lugs are awesome. I’ve had some really bad luck with aftermarket wheels using conical lugs and vibration. This setup is smooth as silk.

Gotcha. I was thinking of moving to 285s on my stock OR wheels and wondering if I would need spacers.

Great posts. Where can I buy a set of oem off road wheels? I have blizzaks on the OR wheels it came with, and want to put summer tires on the same wheel.

I’d keep an eye on the buy sell trade forum. They come up pretty often.

    It doesn't look good,

it looks GREAT! I'd never thought I'd like my Off-Road wheels. Thanks for saving me from saving up the funds for some new wheels.

@MESO to the rescue. Something like this might sell damn well given how many OR’s are out there.

Any chance you could post a full side pic of your truck? Trying to decide if it's worth spending the money on these and spacers.
