OOOOHHH! Yikes! That’s a problem. It’s gonna need to be welded. If you’ve never MIG welded thin sheet metal, this is not a project to learn on.

Yes, the immobilizer light flashes any time the key is not in the ignition.

Frame replacement for that year is over, you are on your own as far as the frame goes, also 05 Tacomas have had expensive head gasket issues about where the miles on the truck is right now,and also motor mount failures, beware.

I guess you guys are right. The door check broke through the metal and bent the window rail. I took off the check for now. I guess I will have to be careful how I park and windy days until I learn how to weld or come up with another solution.

Anyway put the door back but struggling with the master switch. Is there a secret technique I’m totally missing out on? It looks like the black plastic is butting against the plastic on the wiring. Removing was easy but plugging it back in seems to be a struggle. I don’t want to force it and break something. Thanks I’m advance!

That's going to be a tough spot to weld.
I don't have electric windows, yet.
I did find the instructions for "the mexican hat dance" though, it looks like fun

Take it to a body shop with the door panel off and have them weld it. Tell them you'll paint it yourself. It should be about $50. I would be real surprised if they want $100 to just weld it up. As I mentioned, this is not something to learn welding on.

I've never had a problem. It should just plug right in.

If you have a cordless sawzall and a couple batteries, go to the wrecking yard and saw that piece out of a wrecked door. If not, find out the thickness it’s supposed to be and fab a new piece out of sheet steel.
