Hey all, long time 4Runner guy, first Tacoma. 2010 SR5 with TRD, 6-speed manual, 4WD access cab, 6’ bed. Loving it so far.

Looking for recommendations on a small lift for a little more clearance and bigger tires. I don’t want to break the bank, but I’d like to maintain a great ride. I won’t be off-roading as I have a Jeep for that. Just want a little better stance, but don’t want to sacrifice the ride or have to modify a lot to install. Something simple, reasonable, and good on the road.

Also, would love some recommendations on front/rear bumpers, rocker guards, etc. Again, nothing to aggressive as this will be a daily driver. Just going for a better look than stock.

Thank you all in advance! I’m looking forward to some little mods to make this a tougher looking truck. Really appreciate your advice and experience!

Thank you for the warm welcome. Just a stock silver access cab right now. Nothing special. I could probably snap a couple.

That’s the reason for my post. I’d like a little lift, bigger tires, nice front bumper bar, solid rear bumper, maybe some side rails, tonneau cover, etc. I’ve heavily modified my old Jeep and don’t need another off-road rig. Just want to give it a better stance without sacrificing ride quality or having to make a lot of modifications.

5100s and add a leaf seems to be the general easy inexpensive way to achieve what you want, the front 5100 shocks are adjustable in height for lifting the front and an add a leaf or new pack altogether in the back gets you up higher back there.

If that’s not enough for you a common next step up to is to replace all the suspension with something like an OME (old man emu) kit.

I know OME very well from the Jeep world. Super nice stuff. I just don’t want to go through a bunch of mods to make a lift work. On my Jeep, I have an SOA, t-case drop, extended brake lines, axle shims, etc.

Again, I just want a little bigger stance. Nothing major. The least amount of work to get the best height and maintain a quality ride. Stock just looks silly to me.
