I installed the Cali Raised OEM switches for an Auxbeam 32" light bar. I followed these instructions. The switch will turn the light bar on and off but the backlight on the button won't turn off. The blue light shows even when the truck is off. What are my options? I'd like the backlit light to only turn on when the light bar is on.

    Thanks

I believe the Cali raised switch has 4 wires coming off of it? Green, red 1, red 2 and black. You’ve wired red 2 to a source that provides constant power. What did you tap into with red 2 from the switch?

I use an add-a-fuse and connect red 2 to the ‘Tail’ fuse. This has the switch backlight off unless I flip on the parking lights / dimmed interior head unit / etc.

Is there a source that could walk me through how to do that? I an not ver savy with these electrical projects. I wouldn't know what to do from your description alone.

I just wired up a caliraised switch the other day. I followed the same video and instructions. My switch back light only comes on when the switch is engaged. You must have wired wrong. You should have 3 wires in the harness and 4 wires on the switch. The 2 red switch wires go to blue harness wire, black to black and green to white.

That is exactly what I have, I just double checked for a total of a quadruple check.

Remember, I know close to nothing about wiring so pardon the bad question. Since the green wire is the switch, could I attach the 2 red wires to it so that the backlight came on when the light bar was on?

Hmm weird, Idk then. Might have to call caliraised. Wouldn't hurt to try hooking the wires up differently, there only so many ways to do it. Unless there is something up with the switch or your harness. I have another switch I wired in last year the same way with the same outcome.

I have seen some reports that the harness can be put together incorrectly. Tough getting into a situation where knowledge would help resolve the issue and I have no knowledge of this subject. I can just follow youtube instructions.

It was the harness, I tried a different one and it seems to work fine.

Just installed myself also, backlit when not engaged would we awesome, switch only illuminates when depressed.

    Bad switch?

Hoping I won’t have to undo too much of yesterday’s install, thanks @CaliRaisedLed for jumping in.

Can we adjust the bar left/right? About 3/8” off to the left and I’m getting hard cutoff on the passenger side - any ideas on a solution before I trim the bumper trim?

Thanks OP for starting this thread!

Don't mind the 3 year late reply... Just installed My Cali Raised hidden lower bumper light bar with a Cali Raised OEM switch.

My switch is drawing constant power, keeping it illuminated 24/7. I am using a Nilight harness and light bar with the Cali Raised switch.

    I have it wired as:

    Harness - Switch

    Black - Black
    White - Green
    Red - Red 1 & 2

    Am I doing something wrong?

    EDIT:

    Correct Wiring Order is:

    Harness - Switch:

    Black - Black
White - Red 1 (Next to Green)
    Red - Green

Fuse Tap - Red 2 (Next to Black)

I decided to tap the switch to the 5a 'PANEL' fuse under the dash.

    Hope this helps anyone!
