I just got my new suspension. They are 2.5in after a couple of days of nose-diving and trying to cycle the shocks. I went up to 650 lbs springs as well and had it custom-tuned to the weight of my truck with adjustable compression. Running w/ 2.6 degrees caster (haven't got an alignment, also swapped out my UCA), it doesn't rub unless I hit a pretty big bump while I am turning. Pretty sure once I cranked the caster to 3.8 I should be clear since it's rubbing the fender at the bottom rear.

Icon 2.5 with 650lb springs with about 1.5 inch of preload on passenger and 1.75 on driver fix the taco lean.

Do you remember your truck center of hub to fender measurement stock vs the new suspension? I keep hearing people had different measurements from the factory. Mine was 21" stock height.

Yeah.. mine was 21 also. I never measured with just these shocks on it... only when I had my spindle lift on it. I was at about 5.5 inches of lift in the front and 4 in the back. Then I put a bumper on it and it sagged in the front about .5 inches.
Measured at 25 and 1/8 in the front, 24.5 in the rear.
Then all hell broke loose and my steering rack grenades, lost power steering. Ripped it all off and took it back to stock in front, then just recently put on the icons back on when I got new tires and the rack replaced. Now the shocks need to be rebuilt, need to pull them out again and reassemble my 5100s while the icons get serviced. Ugh... fucking rabbit hole merry go round:(:D

Lmao, saw this and went to go check real quick on what’s it sitting at. Looks like it settled some more from my numbers yesterday morning. Sitting at 22.5 passenger and 22in driver. Will probably crank The driver side a bit to 22.5 and call it a day next week. Don’t want steering rack to blow up lol

If that’s the case, going up to 23in . Don’t rock crawl really, mostly go on mountain roads/fire roads or swamp areas. My main concern are shock fades and water

You are correct about if you want 37s you will need to cut the same amount on stock height vs a 3 inch lift. If you take the shock out and cycle the suspension you will find what you need to trim. If you don't want to trim as much you can space bumpstops.
The purpose of a lift is the raise frame height and help fit different size shocks to maximize travel.

I'm still skeptical about the kit 81Trekker is making because on 35s I still hit the fenderwell by the battery tray at full bump. So unless it limits travel you will still rub there. It does do a very good job at moving the tire off the firewall and possibly eliminate the need to tub the firewall to run bigger tires. I like the kit and it might be an option I go with in the future once there's more testing and customer feedback.

This is the cmc I did for 35s and still rubbed at full bump while turning. Adding superbumps almost eliminated all rubbing but that's because they limit uptravel a small amount.
You can also see my fenderwell is separating from when I jumped the truck on 35s and it self clearanced.
