    The point?

Dude, just in case your reading comprehension is lacking, which apparently it is, the thread you are in is labeled the “Asshole parking” thread. Where in that label does not being a dick jump out at you?

You know what else is great about this country and the constitution? The right to not read something that “upsets” you.

Maybe you should practice that right.

This person parked across the spaces:
    20200503_175039.jpg

So I parked right in front of them in the space between their bumper and the curb:

That might make ME the asshole. Or at least as much of one.

    I'm okay with that.

And? Doesn't appear to be blocking anything or taking up more than one spot. So what if it's been there a week?

If we were to take any offense, it's whoever they hired to maintain their landscaping. Both the juniper and the crepe myrtle are in desperate need of better care.

Extremely busy parking lot (in spite of the various restrictions) at tractor supply. You can see both spaces next to the two they took up are occupied, and this is the near store parking when there are larger spots (presumably configured just for larger trucks and vans) available just a bit further out.

Until this Tacoma I have always driven large vehicles personal and for work, 3/4 ton long bed doublecab gmc, extended cab long bed Fords, full size service vans and extended length service vans, and a GMC Yoknon xl when I was in Miami and all of these fit in a parking space.

If a person is going to drive a large vehicle they need to know how to safely operate, handle, maneuver and park that vehicle.

I've got a class A commercial license (recently acquired) and that pretty much describes the majority of the driving portion of the test for those large vehicles. Written is mostly safety theory, what equipment you must carry, load handling and such.

I get that those full size trucks and vans are big and require more forethought, time, and sometimes a little further walk by way of parking further out to not park like an asshole. But I feel like that's something you sign on for when acquiring and driving one. Just like a large commercial vehicle like a bus or tractor trailer you can't (or shouldn't) always do with it what you can do in a corolla.

If said full size made any attempt to park at the back of the lot (like I might if towing a trailer and needed two spots), I wouldn't even call them out for parking like the one I pictured.

So I guess it's not so much about what you drive or even taking up more than one space or parking across lines. If you parked while obviously giving a minimal or absolutely no fucks about anyone else in that parking lot/situation, you've probably committed an asshole parking offense.
