For most everyone, wheel color and design can be conflicting. Certain wheels have a certain design, but not the color you are looking for. One solution, is to send your wheels off to a wheel shop. But that costs money. Right now many of us are quarantined and unemployed. This project will be a fun.
    1. Gather all of the goods you will need.
    • Spray paint, a good reputable wheel paint brand. I used Dupli Color as my brand, Gloss Black, used almost 1 can per wheel to really bring out the deep gloss you are looking for.
    • Also 1 can of primer for 2 wheels, can use 3 and have a little left over, depending on large your wheels are. I did it on 18.
    • Sand paper. The instructions call for 400 grit to prepare the primer, I also used it to prepare the wheels. However I had some 600 grit laying around and found a deeper shine when I used that grit on one of the wheels.
    • And last, you will need Wheel Gloss clearcoat. 2 cans will do for 4 wheels. If you must be generous buy 3 cans.
Now first you might want to jack up the car and remove the wheels as this is the easiest way to do it. Trust me, its worth going to a friend's house and borrowing his Jack stands. If not you can do all the work with the wheels on.

I used dish soap to deep clean the wheels. You can use anything you'd like that removes heavy buildup. After a good deep cleaning, get some 400 grit sandpaper and begin to sand the entire wheel to create a textured where the primer will adhere to. Once the tire has been sanded, you will notice that it will look dull or matt, once the entire wheel is sanded you can rinse it off with water and a towel dry it to remove all moisture. I took some rubbing alcohol and sprayed the entire wheel with alcohol to remove any remaining chemicals that might have stayed behind. At that point I was ready to tape up the tires. Carefully use Note cards to cover the tires from spray or use Blue, Green paint tape, it works great. Once the tires are covered and the air valve also covered, its time to primer. Follow the instructions on the can. But after primer is dry, 30 minutes you can sand the primer until the entire wheel is smooth and ready for the final coat. I painted the wheels inside a container where there was little to no wind. Once the color of the wheels are hiw you like them, you can then apply the goss finish. Let them dry for 3 hours and mount up again and enjoy. 20200501_173823.jpg 20200503_073131.jpg 20200503_121720.jpg 20200503_132709.jpg 20200503_192924.jpg
