Hey y'all I like my baja designs rock lights however I'm noticing the anodizing is fading. Is there a method y'all recommend to protect the finish from the uv or am I sol?

Have you talked to @Baja Designs ? Have you used anything containing Sodium Hydroxide (Lye)? That'll ruin the finish.

I love Baja designs and the products that they give to our community and this will never effect my decision on using the best lights in the biz.

Those dang players aren’t dealing their dyes that’s what I’ve seen!
I want say names but I think they should look for a new plater/anodizer.
For questions on a better anodizer/or ideas shoot me a message.

    Hi Lucario Runner,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing faded anodizing! Typically we see this when a customer uses a harsh chemical such as a degreaser on the housings. But sometimes we do encounter a bad batch from our local anodizers. Regardless, this is covered under our lifetime warranty and we'll get this taken care of. PM inbound. :)

    Those look really good!

My Squadrons have turned grey and I've been trying to reach BD for two weeks now. Seems minimal given the paranoia taking place currently...

    Hi Crux,

I'm very sorry you've received no response on your inquiry. I will be looking into this and making sure this isn't an internal issue. This is covered under the limited lifetime warranty, I will make sure you're taken care of. PM inbound.

Paul, Thanks for reaching out. The replacement bezels are much blacker than the faded ones. Photo shows the difference, including bugs and all from the Luna Park BLM area over the weekend. Practicing social distancing at its finest about 30 miles from the nearest highway (explains the bugs). PM pending

Faded anodizing is part of our lifetime warranty. The timeline matches a bad batch we had, and we've since updated the finish. I'll get new bezels shipped out ASAP. PM Inbound. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Paul from BD was extremely helpful replacing faded bezels, along with answering a number of technical questions.
