    It's deja vu for me.

I have owned 2 tacomas. I have been sans tacoma for a year now. I am about to buy another one.. but I need advice.

I owned a 2001 Tacoma 4 years ago. It had 170K miles, automatic...started running into bigger repairs.

Well, I am looking for an older truck to run around doing odd jobs. The one I am looking at is also a 2001 TRD. It has a high amount of miles at 262K. It has recently has had the following done:
    - Brake lines & inner tie rod ends 9/25/19
    -Shocks/struts (front + rear), ball joints 10/16/2018
-Timing belt, water pump, plugs + wires, coil bolt kit, thermostat gasket, new coolant 4/25/18 (245k miles)
    - New tires - Sailon Terramax A/T - I highly recommend these!! 10/31/18 @ 250k
    - Outer axle seals 2/1/18
    - 1/25/18 Mass airflow sensor
    - Gear oil replacement (I don’t know what it’s called, but two things had the gear oil replaced and it wasn’t cheap. Transfer case maybe?) & new muffler
    - replaced 3 belts March, 2016
    - 3/9/15 spare tire hanger replaced (Toyota recall), throttle body cleaned
    - 2010 new frame under recall @161k (I’m realizing I was 20k off in my ad as far as the new frame life) - this was before I owned it, of course.

The owner is willing to part with it for $2,800. What do you folks think? I know Tacomas run for a long time, but I found out there have been 5 owners but no accidents (carfax). Need advice. Thanks!

do what ya gotta do.....i know its a hard decision sometimes. alot has been done on it, hopefully it performs as well as it seems it was maintained. I'd kind of shy away from all them miles but i will also say, toyotas have never done me wrong.....i've had a Celica, FJ, 4 Runner, now a 2020 tacoma. they are mules and go forever as long as they are maintained - in my experience. Not smart enough to talk to the year/miles of the tacoma you are looking at but Good luck......if i had the need and 3k available, i might go for it.

Thanks- yeah, I haven't ever seen a Tacoma go that far, but then again, I've never had one that high before I let it go. I appreciate your words of wisdowm.
