Oh snap, you must have thought you were in the “trivial topics” section?!? It’s an easy mistake to make.

Angled to the side and down. Helps so much on switchbacks at night, especially when you are on trails on a mountain where one side is the mountain and the other side is a straight drop off. Angles forward during the day in dusty conditions (everywhere in San Diego) just so people can see me through the dust.

Still hits the ditches but not enough for frog gigging to which I would angle them more in about 30 seconds with a 9/16. As they sit they are more for extending the width and view of my headlights.

"They look dorky if angled correctly to fulfill their namesake."

I don't understand this at all. I doubt this looks dorky to people who actually wheel at night.

    Function over form - IMHO.

I have the Caliraised with the side shooters, so they are about 15 degrees off center and down about 25 degrees. The forward lighting is via a combo 32”
    Caliraised light bar.

This already saved my six fishing last month where a fairly large hole on the drivers side was nicely pointed out and avoided.BB2234EF-4986-4986-AE1E-4A1B48A9753E.jpg

This is funny. I googled this topic to settle an argument with a friend and this is the post that was quoted...my lights point to where a ditch may be...
