I’m in the middle of installing the Meso stealth knob. Does anybody know how I screw the knob back on without them wrapping around the shifter and breaking? Thanks in advance!

Am I suppose to screw the knob back on first and then somehow fish the wires through the small opening on the boot?

Yeah screw it on and feed the wires thru...it helps if you heat the tip of and awl or small screwdriver to make the hole larger in that chrome piece attached to the boot. Otherwise you’ll be there all day see photo for some clarity.

Yeah the TRD knobs don’t fit as tight as the oem one...but a dab of locktite on the threads will fix that.

I saw a couple of videos on this but nothing past this one: https://vimeo.com/238867564

Are there any other ones that finish the job with the wiring?

Don’t use lock tight… Teflon tape and I was able to tighten it down and it doesn’t move when handled. I think I wrapped 3 times

I found the one where you added a camera and new harness and I'm searching from there.

I originally installed my handle way too loose. Drove me nuts so I ended up tightening it back down.

If you already have the plugs installed, gently pull up on the console until it pops out. Reach under the loose console and fee around for the wires. Disconnect them. Then gently pull them back through the hole one at a time.

Once you have the plugs pulled back through the hole, tighten down the knob and reinsert said plugs. Reconnect underneath the loose console and you should be golden.

Get help from someone with dainty hands if you need help unplugging the wires while you have the console loose. Remember not to pull the console entirely up or you will rip out the wires buddy.

Thanks for the tips everyone! That was seriously the only hard part about the install. It was a bitch but I found putting the truck in neutral with the brake up gave me just a little more room to get my hands to fit under the console. Another awesome MESO mod for sure!!!
