Any woodworkers?

I understand. Even so, over time people forget what their floors looked like new. The picture is just a reminder. And more importantly, some people are just visual learners and are more attracted to pictures. Bluntly, words alone are boring and people are less likely to read your message.

And lastly, this is your baby. Do what you think makes the most sense. I just like to help.

 

I was thinking about including a pic of me while I'm coating a floor, so you can see that fresh coat on half of the room that's already been coated vs. the existing finish.
Even though the finish is still wet in the picture it could be affective.

Anyone heard of Siberian larch before? Found it on Craigslist and their website seem legit. If it don’t work out it will be filled with redwood later on

Since I didn't have one I decided to take a shot at making myself a bevel gauge, then printed off a bevel gauge setter from Pask Makes website for free and fixed it to some plywood. It was alot of metal filing for the blade on the gauge but I don't think it came out to bad and after testing it its pretty accurate. Just ignore the over burn on my brand stamp lol

 

Finished up my flip cart.

 

The wife found a bench/ shoe holder thing at lowes. So my latest project has been making one. She picked the stain (its just pine) and will be getting baskets for the cubby holes and a cushion for the top. Minus a gap for the top backing I need to fix and I still need to put a finishing clear coat on it. Its just about done.

 

Thanks when I decided to do that I was not sure how it was gonna turn out, was more of an experiment for me. And Thankfully I ended up really liking it!

 

Oak table I made. Going to start life as a changing table and then transition into something else. (what that is time will tell)

 

Trying right now to decide between tool purchases.

I would either upgrade my Hitachi 12" slider to a Kapex for quite a bit of money, but much more enjoyment to use on something I use a lot and better dust collection. Or get a couple smaller items on my long-term wish list that I would use very infrequently but would expand my abilities slightly.

 

If it were me, I'd get the tool(s) that helped the most. If that saw is worth $1500 to you, get that. If you want it just because of what it is, get something more useful. Just my .02
