Yeah, there is some assembly required. But the designing it is what sounds fun .

I spent a about a month designing some bumpers but when I was done they looked basically the same as whats out on the market. I'm going WIY to save money + this great deal.
I'm practically remaking sliders and they've been sitting in my garage for about a year now still in pieces so... When the pieces are all precut and ready to tack together and weld in, now there's something I can get done. My sliders I still need to cut my a15 plate to make the frame plates and chop my 8' of DOM thickwall square tube into 8 runners. I don't have a metal cutting saw or a welder so my motivation to work on them is low since I know I can't do much at home. However I believe I could weld together my whole bumper in a day or two borrowing 2FangEngineering's welder (@Sociopenguin ) and since he's in for the 2Fang bus rear bumper, we can get both at least tacked up in a day.

Yeah thats a great way to go about it, and everything I've read says coastal makes a great kit. Which is especially nice - cutting metal is a pain in the rear when you care what shape it gets cut into

It's not the welding that takes time, it's the grinding, sanding, and painting that usually take 4x longer. I have a history of underestimating project times, that's how I know. lol

And a15 plate? Why? I don't know how you'd cut that without oxy acetalene or plasma.
EDIT: Nevermind, I thought you were referring to something like Hardox or wear resistant plate steel. I have had the unpleasure of trying to work with that material, hence my concern.

Slowly moving with upgrades, but curious on the next one. As we all know those Tacoma beds are short in that 5 foot ish range. I want to buy a 9 foot Kayak, but that short bed doesn't help with placing that in. My Tacoma has a sunroof. Is it feasible to have a roof rack and a sun roof?

They're over 6 ft if you buy the right truck

Victory 4x4 makes a killer roof rack, you might check them out.

They make a support that goes in the hitch receiver if you want to use the bed

you can also do a roof rack, either an aftermarket one or OEM

Most are rated for like 75-150 lbs. some have open sections or adjustable bars around the sunroof. Or they are just really tall.

Plus the weight does to the supports which are connected to where the truck is designed for a bit of weight.

Depends on the state. Its always great when you see a pickup pulling a 5th wheel pulling a boat pulling an ATV trailer.

    Timbrens came yesterday.
    Dakars come today.
    More patches come today.
    More patches come later.
More money coming into bank account for truck investment, what parts should I buy next? Josh and Tate are not influencing me today.
