    I am new member.
Factory hitch was installed with tow package. However, the hole for the 5/8" locking pin is too big. Looked up industry standards and learned that hole should be 1/32 to max of 1/16" larger than pin size. My hitch is more like 1/8". Cannot tow new travel trailer safely. Anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like a lot of play, but once the receiver is in it probably would be fine. 1/32 would be so tight not sure getting the pin lined up with the trailer would be much fun.

There is so much play that the trailer lurches back & forth when driving. I drove it out of the RV lot and right back in. I see there are a lot of products available on-line to stop up/down, and side to side play in receiver hitch but nothing to prevent in & out play. Truck is brand new and there should be no slop in receiver hitch. However, it came that way from the factory so that's why I threw out this question to other Tacoma owners. I have an appointment with Toyota Service tomorrow to replace hitch.

I imagine mine is similar. Can definitely feel a bit of the play but I don't think much of it. Pretty sure it's the same amount of play as I had on my 4runner.
