Hehe!I plan on playing again once my left wrist heals up from a skateboarding injury. My 91 Gibson was my high school graduation present from my parents. It’s a fantastic yr for the studio model and i’ll never part ways with it.I always wanted a Marshall amp but simply couldn’t afford it until 2014.Example pics of the Peavey Classic 100 Series was what i could afford back in 1991.Was such a great amp and if i’d know you were going to start playing guitar last yr i would of given it to you instead of selling it during a garage sale.My Yamaha acoustic i purchased also back in 2014.Never had a acoustic but borrowed friends over the yr’s.

Any of you ever seen a guitar like this? I’ve had it for about 15 years. Just a novelty guitar.

i'll have to go through my app list. i ditched the app recently for an actual metronome and the one in my DAW, but i had an app-based one that had a ramp up feature. for tuners, i really like the headstock clip-on ones. i found one on Amazon that's USB rechargeable, i keep one at home, one at the studio, and one more in my backpack.

another big thing is ear-training. i've always tried to do it so i didn't include it in my tips post. but having a good ear is immensely helpful. you don't need perfect pitch, but being able to hear a note and be in the general area helps with learning songs. tabs are great, but try to learn it by ear at first. pick a riff, try and hum/ sing the first note, and then find it on the fretboard. chances are the rest of the notes will come easily once you identify where you need to be on the guitar. chords are harder, but an easy trick is to pick out the bass-line. hum that, find it, and more of the song will start to fall into place. a good way to practice this is TV show themes. they're quick and usually don't have too much going on. basic percussion, simple bassline, and an easy melody. i got bored the other weekend watching DuckTales and i kept humming along until i finally picked up a guitar to try and learn it-- now anytime it gets stuck in my head, i can reach for an axe and shred along for a bit until it's gone.

Going thru pro, stage and the one by soundbrenner now.
Im sure I'll find a favorite.

No big deal to reach over and tap to ramp it up if I cant figure out how to program in a set list.

Thanks! I’m very happy with it. I now have 2 guitars that I love. This one sounds so good and still not fret buzzing. Except when I fret improperly but which is a lot haha. But I played some higher frets where I was getting insane buzz on the Yamaha and it sounded beautiful on the hummingbird

the one I used was Beatronome on Android (don't know what phone you're on) and it was awesome. you can change subdivisions and time signatures as well as the ramp up feature I was talking about, which is also known as "rhythm trainer".

I actually redownloaded to use with my OP-1 when I got down time at work.

    hope this helps out!

The ebony boards on the early 90s studios are just magnificent.

My cheap '04 faded special SG has a sweet ebony board as well, I love it. Its odd because in the specs for that model they showed a rosewood board, but I know Gibson sometimes uses premium materials on cheaper models when they have extra.

Man, someone loved on that one!
Shame they don't have a case for it. I suspect is because they want you to find them one which would raise the price quite a bit.
