Damn... that sucks hard. I don't understand why no phone and no TV?
My step mom is in assisted living. She has to stay in her room, and only go to the cafeteria 3 times a day. No visitors, can't even go across the hall and chat with a neighbor. But she has phone and TV. I can't imagine what it would be like to be shut in a room with nothing to do. My dad lived with her til he passed, 3 years ago, May 8. :(

I hope things go better for you Rob. I hope things get better for all of us, and soon!

They can tow fairly light things. They have the lowest tow ratings of all the mid sized trucks. We want a travel trailer and while our navigator will tow it Taco doesn’t come close and is why when things are done being total suck I’ll be getting a full sized truck probably with a diesel if I can find a decent deal.

So I bought a dog hair dryer a long time ago and shortly after buying it I stopped bathing the dogs at home since after every bath the drain was clogged. Decided to try using it today to help with shedding and wow did it work. Probably sent their hair into the entire neighborhood with the way the wind was blowing. It was quite the hair storm. I wish I could have taken pics but I had the dogs on a table, holding them in place and blowing out their coats. I was covered in hair when I was done. I used it to blow the hair off me after and it looked like I was shedding as bad as them! This is the video that inspired me and it was at least this much if not more hair when I just did it.

Just goes to show no matter how big and bad you think you are there is someone bigger and badder out there.

It's so much harder for older people to comprehend this than anyone. Even the ones that were around during the great depression. I feel for anyone trying to help them understand.

For my Mom, when she was diagnosed (last Wednesday), they immediately quarantined her. The nursing home she's in is smaller compared to most. It's actually a rehabilitation center and a long term care facility. Sadly, the last stop for most.........and we've come to terms with it being that for my Mom when that time would come, which we all expected with her being so ornery, to be a while longer.

They are saying that 48% of all deaths from the virus in the US are nursing home residents. It moves through them so quickly too. One here was like that and a employee there lost their life to this damn virus too. Now the news is reporting that they are being sued for failure to take the appropriate actions to prevent all the deaths that have occurred there.

So now the facilities here are finally taking it serious.

Since there are so many touch points in a residents room (my Mom shares a room with an even older woman) and so many outside of the room, they are incapable of cleaning their belongings to send with them. They are basically taking the empty rooms on a single ward (there are 3) and making them temporary rooms. The healthy residents in that ward are being moved to rooms on the other two wards, as long as those residents are compatible and not showing signs of the virus. They have limited the staff on the quarantine ward to one nurse, and two aides. With them working shifts. Because of the additional work load put on these staff members, we (and the other families) were asked not to bug them calling them about status which would take them away from the care they are providing. My Moms vision was degraded severely when she had he stroke which set this all off. So she does have a phone in her room but she can't see to dial so they have to do it for her. That hasn't happened in a week either.

I mean, this is the 4th nursing home my Mom has been a resident of, and none of them are where any person should wind up for the remainder of their life. About 10% of the workers care. The rest are just showing up for their paycheck. In the beginning I fought with them but realized it had no affect and would only be worse in the long run for my Mom. I will admit, they aren't paid enough, and overworked on top of that but will also admit those are not excuses for the residents to suffer. It makes it hard to determine if the things my Mom tells me are true or not since she suffers from mild dementia. So some of the things she says like not being fed for days including the days I am there, however I have also seen first hand some of the things she tells me are true.

So everything combined is weighing on me and I am sure everyone else out there, yourself included.

Neither of mine would have any part of that. Maybe my younger one would tolerate it for a minute but the older one would run away as soon as it’s turned out. He HATES the vacuum and runs and cowers every time we vacuum. We have these gloves that have plastic spikes on them for brushing them. They both love getting brushed like that. So much damn hair though

The gloves dont work for me. My younger pup loves to try and eat the air. My older boy tolerates it but I also worked on desensitizing him with it when I got it 2+ yrs ago. I've used the hair dryers at the dog wash since I started taking them to help dry them so it wasnt anything they arent used to tolerating. Both are good with the vacuum so that probably makes it easier. The one I have is pretty dang quiet. I may see what kind of ends I can get for the air compressor and run that for more air power, I was having to help pluck some clumps out where it was really bad. The compressor would stay in the garage and I'd run the hose through the house to the back patio so it will really only be the air sound.

The air compressor isn't a bad idea. I could keep that in the house and run it to the patio (my garage is too far away from the house). My younger one might be ok with that, but probably not, he's taking after the older one and scared of any loud noises. He's fine with the regular vacuum though so who knows. The gloves mostly work for now, we just are bad and don't brush them every day

Back to the battery topic of yesterday: if I get a 27F, do I need a different mounting plate or will it fit with the 24F that came stock?

If I get a 27F do I need a new plate? I saw another thread and looks like the guy had a larger mounting plate. If that’s the case I’ll have to just get the 24F this time and then I can order a plate for a 27F for the next battery I need

I’m not to sure about the 3rd gen, you may need a trey from a 2nd gen with the towing package for that maybe @SuperBad can chime in.
It may also drop right in worth a test fit since your there.
