This past weekend, I took a trip to my cabin in my truck (~200 miles round trip) and for the trip total, I ended at 20.1 mpg. Considering I'm on 33" E rated KM3s with a full steel bumper and 10K Warn winch and had my wife and son, I was extremely happy with that. My cabin is about 3500'-4000' higher in elevation than my home. On the way there I was at 19.6 and on the way home, it bumped it up to 20.1. I did my best to keep it to <70mph (but did have to go over a few times). Around town, my mpg is much worse...like mid 15s.

1,753 Toyota Tacomas have provided 29.9 million miles of real world fuel economy & MPG data. Of those 1,753 3rd Gen V6s, exactly six (6) have recorded similar mileage. The rest? Between 19mpg and 21 mpg.

Soooo you are the seventh person on the planet to get 28 mpgs. Go buy a lottery ticket. Now.

My 2016 SR5 V6 would normally average around 19 in-town and 23-24 highway (65-70 mph). My new 2020 TRD OR with 6800 miles on the clock only gets about 16 in-town and 21 highway. But, as was stated in one post, I "smile" alot (SPG).
