Friend of mine has a 14 Tacoma with spindle lift and 4 inch block in back. He hates the ride but got a smoking deal on truck.
I believe the lift is a rough country 6 inch spindle lift with dropped crossmember. Is there a way to make this thing have a 3 inch lift without modding crossmember. He wants a 3 inch lift with 33s. If we have to keep the lift what front shocks will work with spindles?
Gonna do an all pro leaf back in rear with icon rear suspension. I need help for the front setup.

If your friend's truck is currently on big spacers in the front, he can change to struts sized for the 6" lift: https://www.roughcountry.com/premium-n3-lifted-strut-500080.html?find=2005-toyota-tacoma-4wd-565331

High-end coilovers from Icon, King, Fox, etc. are available for 6" lift as well, but I doubt ride will improve on pavement compared to what he has now (may well get rougher).

Note: Rough Country makes both a 4" drop-bracket lift and a 6" drop-bracket lift. Be certain which one he has. AFAIK there are no struts or coilovers available for the 4" drop-bracket lift.

Does it require welding crossmember back in?

Shouldn’t have to. With 2wd you are not suppose to cut the crossmember, however I have seen shops do it anyways lol

Appreciate the help. Truck doesn’t have crossmembers cut. I just need to find stock spindles now.
