    Good Evening,

    Would like some opinions and advice on best and most economical 3in front/2in rear lift. Specific questions include:
    • Can I run stock shocks on the lift you suggest?
    • Really, how much more wear and tear will it put on the truck?
    I know the lift for me is more of a vanity mod than for performance.

    Your help with opinions and suggestions is greatly appreciated!

    What’s your plans is it just for looks or you plan on wheeling a bit?
    Spacers are economical but throwing 100 dollar aluminum blocks on your truck will make it ride a little stiff
    Bilsteins 5100 are a cheaper popular choice. Speaking of economics stay 2.5in or below up front you won’t need after market upper control arms. If your doing it to fit bigger tires get ready to do some cutting of the cab mount and some plastic trimming. Spacers are shit and my neighbor just blew his front shock out hitting a pothole last week in his tundra.

    Headstrongoffroad is a great website to go on with some of the best prices for full or individual kits. Ask for Marie she helped me out with and answered all of my questions.

    I ended up going Bilstein 6112/5160, SPC UCA, and Icon 3 Leaf AAL. Above Average set up that does everything for most people. Good luck and let me know what you decide to go with.

    From all of my research, I have found out this. If you are just looking for cosmetic appearance and not off-road performance, then only go with a 2" lift up front with a spacer. It is actually a 1" spacer but will give you 2" overall lift. You will not see any "terrible" ride quality differences because you are using OEM shocks and springs. It will not cause any of your parts to wear out faster with the 2". 3" however, will cause premature wear on OEM parts. All of this info is coming from a frontend alignment pro that I've know for 25 years. So that is what I went with on the front. For the back I went with Bilstein 5100's and a Deaver add-a-leaf. Only because I tow a small camper and a 20' boat. So my whole setup was 2" front and back. I still maintained a 1" rake which I wanted to keep. If you do not plan on towing or hauling anything heavy then you can get by with just adding blocks and staying with the stock shocks. Again all this is just my 2 cents opinion but if I were staying stock, I would not go any higher than 2". Hope this helps.
