650# to 700# spring?

    Volk TE37x, King suspension, TC, CVT Shasta, all pro armor, Pioneer DVD, JL W6
    Curious if anyone’s moved from 650# springs to 700#. I’m running a steel bumper, 9k lb winch, steel skids, and sliders on king 2.5 ex. travel. The ride has gotten pretty rough here lately, so I plan on having shocks rebuilt and tuned, and am entertaining swapping springs to the 700’s. Thoughts?

    A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
    Yes, reduce pre load and ride smooths out

    A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    Couple of thoughts / comments that you are probably aware of, but tossing it out because many folks aren't.

    The 50# of the spring increase speaks to taking 50# of more pressure for 1" of compression.

    You mention having shocks rebuilt/tuned, be sure you know your final spring rate to give the shop who does that work for best results.

    Thanks for the replies! I did buy this front suspension used, likely needing rebuilt, so I’m sure a rebuild would do wonders for dampening. I do drive this rig for long distances, so I’d like to have the most comfortable setup. Are the 700# springs noticeably stiffer while driving, and would this help with reducing body roll around corners?

    Had Icon 650# springs with full armor n winch, then went with 700#. Alot less bouncy

    Had Icon 13×650, replaced with Icon 14×700
