    Yes but still means the blower motor works...if the motor goes out its not going to work in any position

    See the brown on the connector?
    Yeah that things fubard.
    Start with you or your brother changing that out and you should be fine.

    If not after a new connector at the new resistor then do all that other stuff.

    Obviously somebody missed the 80s!

    I have done this on two tacomas, once each, and theyre both still fine.
    Fixing the connector was temporary, replacing it semi-permanent.

    Everything else everyone has said are all valid points and could be possible but nothing is going to fix that burnt pin, except fixing it.

    Aim small miss small.
    Start with the easiest most obvious then work your way upstream to the blower if it still doesnt work.
    Sometimes the connector at the blower is burned also...

    Hey those $2 bills are gonna be worth a lot some day. They do smell kinda funny though, I figured a few days out on the clothesline would take care of it, but nope.
