Hi I was wondering if anyone has ever had this and or resolved it. 06 Tacoma 4x4 .Going about 90 km an hour I get a vibration in the steering wheel that is not always there if you make a sweeping turn on the highway where it transfers the weight of the truck slightly the vibration sometimes will go away or it will start it depending on your curve left or right doesn't seem to make a difference it almost feels like something is loose under there but I've had the truck checked twice now and they can find nothing loose everything seems to be to spec been struggling with this for over a year . tires have been swapped out I've had three full sets on there for winter and an upgrade and it doesn't change it. Also had the frame done a year Ang a half ago, purchased the truck after that. Thanks in advance would appreciate any suggestions or things to check

Kinda sounds like a bad wheel bearing(s).

Did the shocks with 4 Blisteins just after I got the truck thinking that might be it .

Had them all checked nothing seems lose or sloppy nothing obvious anyway. I would hear something going down the road, it's quiet! The weird part is it comes and goes and I can make do it on turns with the weight transfer . Like a ball joint moving or a control arm shifting. And again nothing feels lose when checked. Also a bit of a rattle going slow through pot holes and such. Put new lower ball joint and strut mounts last spring as well.

Does it go away in 4wd? If yes, then more than likely it's the needle bearing on the drivers side front diff.

Search ecgs bushing. It's not that hard of a job.

Was finally able to get out and try it today in 4-wheel drive the vibration goes away put back into two-wheel and it returns.supposed to be a little nicer tomorrow going to try and crawl underneath it and see if it's sloppy at all on the driver side front axle shaft.

I have a very similar issue, but I feel the vibration as I accelerate from a dead stop. It goes away in 4WD and is consistent in 2WD (ECGS bushing?). I do get a bit of groaning (feel in the pedal -- passengers don't notice) in certain speed ranges. Earlier I mentioned the wheel bearings b/c I didn't even really notice this until I got that taken care of ... long story short I'm interested to hear your conclusion.

I'm kind of thinking it's the bearings on the inside of the half shaft, the needle bearings on driver side. I'm going to try replacing it with the updated bushing and see if that works. But with everything going on in the world it may take some time, going to have to put up with the vibration for now I think.

Hi all here's my update got the bushing put in and the vibration is 90 pecent gone, barley noticeable anymore. the rest I think could be upper control arm bushing or tie rod, had the frame done last year so lots of new stuff under there , thoughts? Either way happy with the results.
