Anyone know if the spare tire apparatus will hold a 275/70/17? The oe was 265/70/17. Just leveled it and added larger tires and offset wheels. Did not think about the spare deal till I just passed a fellow changing a tire. I know I should have checked before I upped the tire size. Woulda coulda shoulda always gets me

Keep the spare you already have for emergencies just don't 4 wheel it or drive long distances.

Thought about that. I figure no harm on the front. Could be chaos on the rear. Do not think I need driver and passenger side axles doing different RPM'S. May not cause any harm but do not really want to test it. I'm out here in the sticks so may have to drive a distance before I can get a matching tire

When I had my 09 I mounted a 285 75 16 spare under mine with little problem. Just had to do a slight bend on the ears that guide the spare into place. I did make some custom plates that allowed the hoist assembly to be moved rearward about 1”. This helped the tire to come within a 1/4” of the back of the hitch. This wasn’t necessary but you’ll have to pull back on the tire when snugging I t against the frame
