Fixing up beat up beadlock rings

I bought some TRD beadlock wheels with the "beadlock" rings pretty beat up. wondering whats the best way to fix them up and look good. they pretty gashed so im okay with them not looking completely factory i just want the nice silver wheel look back

 

Take to a shop and have them sand blasted?

 

Blast them bare, sand to smooth out the huge gashes, fill weld the big gashes, sand smooth again, and either clear coat at this point or move to polishing them out then clear coating after that?

Just taking a shot in the dark, I have no experience in this but it's how I would proceed. The ring is removable right?

 

yeah rings are removable. might have to end up taking them to a shop im limited on space and tools, was gonna try and see if sanding them by hand was gonna work and it did not go so hot lol

 

Buy new.

 

How much are new rings? Just curious. Might be cheaper than having a shop fix up the old ones.

just found them on toyota parts for 90 each, probably gonna go this route actually

 

yeah got a good deal on them though and i love the look of them too so it was worth it for me at least

 

Why couldn’t they be sanded?

@tacomgee sanded his, I’m pretty sure.

 

honestly juice wasn't worth the squeeze, i sanded one of the scrapes (not even one of the bigger gashes) and it took me about 30 minutes and ripped through the paper to feel like i had there was any effect. x 4, there must be a more efficient way or just go new. might be different if i had a power sander or something but by hand the task was just a little too large
