I’m just using it because the stock bottle jack is short for my truck and for a backup winching option

How hard would it be to get whoever owns that flagpole to replace that flag? Many Veteran organizations would gladly donate one. Great pic BTW.

The reason I pack multiple short 4x4" pieces of wood and a "comealong" with extra cable as well. Ya never know what you may run into, and I least I will have a fighting chance of getting unstuck.

Finally ordered and installed OME Heavy Duty Spring pack. Had 6112/5160s installed a few years ago, and the ride height was perfect. With added camper shell, drawer system, roof rack, gear, etc., it was sagging aggressively. These definitely added some extra height! Very straight forward install, but naturally couldn't be easy. Previous springs had a 1" block and extra long U Bolts - couldn't find a deep socket that would fit over them... angle grinder and band saw took care of that!IMG_2183.jpg IMG_6899.jpg IMG_7133.jpg IMG_0935.jpg IMG_9434.jpg

Oh shit, I'm sorry. Yeah, I'm looking around and it probably be worth it. I called a huge RV graveyard down on RT44 near Oklahoma, and they wanted hundreds for the used ones. Doors were like $300....Thanks

Was it hard to fit the 285 in spare location? What jack do you have?

No, it fits, sits leaning a little forward... its a contortion act getting it to sit right... i sit on my butt, winch it up and use my feet to maneuver it how i need to. It does sit on the heat shield of the exhaust pipe which is not ideal, but after 3 years of running it like that, there is no visible damage to the tire. I can take some better photos of it in place if you'd like.

I assume you mean truck jack for tire changes... admittedly still using the stock bottle jack with a block platform... in the market for a better off road solution still.

Started install on my Switch Pros. Slow & steady.... want the wiring to be clean and reliable. Most proud of the switch panel mount! :)
Trimmed to stock bezel with a dremmel tool to fit the switch plate. The shoulder on the switch panel makes it pretty simple to mount at 50% depth of the panel. SDHQ & MESO make some high quality plates for this, but I really enjoy modifying myself, when possible.

Ordered the aluminum plate to make the mount for the unit. Already fabbed a mount using thin steel but I wasn't happy with the excess flex of the plate.

Connections will be off the Aux Battery & should be done next weekend. Will get some more pics as I go through that portion of the install as well. Grateful to have such a great resource here for Q&A!
