    Hey all,

So I've been doing extensive research on purchasing a Tacoma. Its a 08 Regular Cab 4x4. I've been looking for one for quite a while and I should be picking this truck up Monday. I've looked at tons of threads and I seem to know what to look out for. My only questions is with the TSB that came out a while back with the rusted frames. From the pictures provided it looks like almost new.

Is there a stamp on the frame or anything that says that the frame has been replaced? If it hasn't been replaced is it a ticking time bomb? Not much scares me mechanically but a frame that is ready to go definitely does.

    Thanks guys for your help.

I don't know for sure, but I'd be suprised if it wasn't listed on the Carfax.

new frame has caps in all the holes on the boxed end by the front cab mounts, mine has plastic caps/covers that seal off the open end where the boxed frame meets the open channel, also all the seams look like silicone was smeared where all the metal meets.(joints)
they mostly rot around the front cab mount (the one under the passenger and drivers feet area) so pay attention on the frame inside area, hit it with a hammer if you want to know for sure. or take it in to the dealer give them the Vin number and they will tell you if its been done or not
