What are you looking to mount? Is this for fishing poles?

Just google "fishing pole truck mount" and see a ton of options both DIY and buy one already made for rear bed and truck front.
You probably already know but just remember that if the rods stand mostly vertical and you keep them fully rigged the road wind above like 35mph will try to strip them so you will have to use ties or Velcro wraps to hold them together and never leave heavy weights/lures/jigs way up near the tips. Most of the rear bed mounts are at like a 45 degree angle.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they were asking about PVC transport tubes and not "racks". If so, a PVC tube could be mounted using Quick Fists to the side of the bed. Personally, I feel that using these subjects the rods to more bouncing around inside a tube and possible damage. I'm really anal about my rods & reels and transport them in foam lined rifle cases.....

I have been thinking about picking up a rod again, now that I have put on a few years.

Thanks for the idea on proper transportation.

If you do decide to go the rifle case route, look at the double long (52") scoped rifle cases. The last one I picked up on sale was about $11 at Walmart. It's not a case that you might want to fly with but for stowing in the bed or backseat they are fine......

Kind of hard to see, but this is what I did. I used quick fists and screwed them into my cap cross bars. Holds 3 surf poles per side. I used to use snowboard racks on the roof but I'm out of roof rack space and this works just fine.
