Just picked up some Bilstein 4600s off an 2020 off-road with sub 1k miles that I'm pretty stoked to put on my truck. Doing a 2in RC leveling kit upfront. Toytec 1.5in block and a Toytec AAL in the rear. (I'm running a topper and a cargo glide). I've been reading about the shake after doing a suspension upgrade and I was wondering....

Would it hurt to put that 3-degree shim on my rear suspension before even knowing I need it? I'm just trying to avoid having to mess around back there twice if I can throw one on during the original install while my u bolts are off.

Does anyone have any specific insight on this? I would appreciate it.

I went to a one piece driveshaft after the many many attempts to stop the vibration. The one piece driveshaft fixed my problems. Any local shop can make you one. About $450

Block with an AAL is a great recipe for driveline vibrations caused by axle wrap. No amount of shims are going to make it good. Pony up for a proper lift with a full set of leaf packs especially if you want extra load carrying.

Much less so than a block with AAL on stock noodle springs.

Mods are currently being changed .....
I don't have specific insight to a DCLB, but for my application I can tell you I originally had a center support bearing drop kit and 3* shim and did not experience half the vibrations people on here describe. In fact, I went 100k on that setup and still didn't have to change it. I would put both on your truck, if I was in your position.

Appreciate the replys everyone. I think I am going to wait on putting anything else on and just see what I get after I do my suspension work. Probably do the CB drop kit first since it seems like a quick and easy mod.

Any further insight is appreciated. thanks guys

Do whichever suspension your gonna go with.. if you have vibrations then start measuring drive line angles and get the proper shim to Try to correct it.
