What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

The first coat will really soak in after you wash it with dawn. You might go ahead and hit it with a second coat once its dry. The stuff is expensive, but I have never used a better product.

I would probably power wash it too, if you have one. Good Luck

Whew! $450- $500 for rigid? I don't know if I can justify that. More than I've paid for headlights lol

I've been checking back now and again for the diode dynamic Tacoma 2.0 version but it seems they're still working on it. (I've been really curious what the price tag would be on these because a few members strongly recommend them)

Installed front superbumps last night.
Still need to install new gas tank straps, replacement SPC upper ball joints, and EL095R rear leaf springs. I have the parts, but not much of the time lol.

Changed out the plugs on my truck for the first time since I’ve owned it. Looks like they have been replaced at least once since all of them were Denso. Didn’t look too bad for an unknown amount of mileage. They have over 30k on them at the very least. Gap was around .050” seemed high unless that just due to normal wear on the electrode. I gapped the new plugs at .040”

 

I made some 1/2" bump stop spacers for the rear that will sandwich between the u bolt flip plate and the bump stop itself. Just wanted a little extra margin of error to protect my shocks in the case of a hard bottom out. Just need to get some longer hardware and will bolt them on. These are for the archive garage bumps and flip plate.

 

Couldn't pass up a deal on a brand new set of TRD Pro shocks and coilovers.

 

Trimmed a little more off the rears today. Pretty happy with how it sits now

 

Not today but over the weekend. Finally mounted the 23Zero RTT. This is the Breezeway 72. Big boi. This is the one the wife wanted. I told her it would probably not fit the taco. But hey, I’m just the guy building out this thing, what do I know? Maybe have to end up putting this thing on the FJ if it’s a problem. Camped out of it Saturday night and it was great. Need to figure out a different rack solution. Been looking to go KB Voodoo Max 14 or 18. Any advice out there I’m looking for it.

 

I don't know how I'd feel about sleeping in that. I think it'd be better on a taller rack so you can more center it on the bars.

 

Yeah, I had the same concern. Talked to CB Adventure Supply in Texas who we bought it from. Said that these things are built very sturdy and it shouldn’t be a problem but I still want to get that tail end supported a little better. If I go can height rack I can shift it over the cab slightly and get a better center.
