How the heck would you ever explain this crash?

I completely agree, but I also think that if my bike almost got knocked off a cliff by some asshole I'd be pretty pissed and therefore not thinking very logically. Just sayin

 

What if its your taco, would you be pissed then. Bike are very personal things. Im not justifying violence cause an accident is an accident but to say its just a bike is downplaying just a bit. That is hard earned money down the drain cause of blatent stupidity.

 

I can explain it. He was d*cking around too much and couldn't control his car, you can see what he did on the last corner, which can explain a lot about what happened in the next.

As mad as that guy was, I can understand. But he should be more thankful he didn't get hurt or anyone else.

Insurance will cover the bike......GTO driver should sell it and buy a prius.

 

I mean good for you, you have more restraint that I. I only cary liablity on my bikes (hes insurance would split the bill and that video would ensure that), but I dont think he overreacted that much. I would deffintly let the guy know he was a dumbass. I would also stop at that though. Insurance or not any accident hurts the value of any vehicle. I LOVE being stupid in/on anything motoized but go to a track, empty parking lot ect

 

oh btw are these canyons in cali pretty much free for bikes and cars, I see alot of people dragging knees on them. I would think there would be a heavy police presence like on the dragon. Anyway they would a blast to ride, just stay away from the GTO's

 

Really depends on the day. On weekends, the CHP drive up and down/hide on Mulholland (espcially the Snake) pretty regularly as that is when everyone is out. During the week days and whatnot, you don't see them quite as often. Mulholland does seem to be the most highly patrolled canyon out there though as you don't see them out on the other canyons as much like Stunt, Piuma, Latigo etc.

 

looks like a awsome place to ride, I hate all the sand though. We get that here in Colorado too, back tire hits it your done.

 

I like how people are arguing about whether or not they should have the justification to be angry if somebody hit their vehicle. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

That road in the red truck video is in the area of this place called the "Rock Store" in the Mulholland canyon. That turnout was a very popular spectator hang-out back in the day.

Every Sunday back in the 90's. Haven't been up there in years though. The cops started really cracking down up there. I do most of my riding at Angeles Crest and surrounding areas now.

 

Is Angeles Crest open all the way through yet? I heard a good portion was closed off due to slides.

 

I am willing to bet the bike was happy to be hit, now fat boy won't be overloading its weight limit and making that puppy scream going nowhere.

 

It was this summer. I was able to get through to Wrightwood for the first time in several years. They're set to close it off again just past the tunnels for the snow season, if they haven't done so already.
