Last September I traded my 2018 Off Road (Crew Cab, AT, white) for a 2017 RAV4. I did this to cut costs now that I'm retired. Bad move. I've been driving Tacomas for 15 years and miss my truck dearly. So now I'm thinking seriously about trading up to a 2020 Off Road Access Cab (AT, white).

So other than reintroducing myself to this forum I'd really like to as a question about running boards. On both my 2016 Access Cab Tacoma and my 2018 Crew Cab Tacoma I used Gen 2 running boards. Can anybody tell me if Part Number PT212-35053 is the correct running board to fit a 2020 Access Cab? See attached screen shot.

I'd also be in the market for a few things like bed mat, tonneau cover, all weather floor mats and mud flaps. Can anybody recommend a good source for discounted tacoma parts? I'd probably go with an Access or Truxedo roll up tonneau cover but the remaining items would be OEM.

One more item. My dealer has a brand new 2019 Black Off Road Access cab on the lot that they cannot sell because of a recall issue. What is the issue and why can't they readily fix it? What about the other 2019's already sold and out there on the road?

    Thanks.

Get the Vin and look up the recall yourself. Probably fuel pump recall. Can't be fixed because there's not an "official" fix out yet.

I did see that there was a fuel pump recall. But why can't it be fixed? And how about all the other 2019's out there on the road? Gee, in 1969 we sent 3 men to the moon. 51 years later and we can't fix a fuel pump?

Because there's not an official fix out yet. The fix is a logistical nightmare, you're talking thousands and thousands worth of trucks that could potentially need fixing. Plus they need to find the root cause. If they replace it with a fuel pump with the same problem, that doesn't make sense.
