Nothing usually. I used to put ratchet straps in mine, but they rusted up real fast. Ive been thinking of putting a air fitting for a compressor in there when I get around to putting a compressor under my hood.

You can use it to wire in power outlets and switches. I used the opposite cubbie to add a blue sea breaker system for camp lighting and fridge.

The compartment is like a half inch too short to fit my tri-ball trailer hitch back there. For now, I just have some ratchet straps.

This would be as simple as putting some weatherproof stripping along the edge of the cubby door, right?

Yes. But you can also add some plastic pieces so water drains out the bottom but can’t come up.

I believe there are some drain holes you have to plug as well.

I put tow straps and rope in a Ziploc bag and then in the big compartment on the drivers side and I think I have a bed net in the small one on the passenger side.

Ya basically with this unit you run a single posItive and negative to the panel circuit which is built in.

Then you wire the lights or whatever into the Individual breaker and done. It has a USB charger and Aux port for accessories like a fridge. The panel and switches are waterproof and you just need to waterproof the cubbie.

You can but I run them to a fuse block on a power tray which acts as an in-line fuse as a secondary protection.
